The Frog Prince, by the Grimm Brothers, was first published in Berlin in 1812. The tale describes a beautiful, young princess who loses her golden ball as it rolls to the bottom of a spring so deep she was unable to see the bootom. In the original version, it is the complete rejection of the frog which transforms him. Prince Charming comes in different forms...keep your eyes open. In this 8.5 X 11 inch mixed media art piece, I used ink and collage to create a tree frog version of the frog prince.

There is beauty all around us. My inspiration comes from daily life, nature, and curiosity of the world we live in. Other elements in my work are influenced by family, relationships and travel. I find beauty in the ordinary.
My goal is to inspire others to discover beauty in unusual places. My process involves careful observation and engagement of the subject. My work began as representational imagery though over time has followed a more non-representational approach. With each project a new idea emerges and paves the way for the next project.
Nature and figures are recurring themes in my work, whether it is a bird, portrait or a flower painting. I use traditional materials like ink, oils, and charcoal and repetition of patterns to create movement and harmony.
