ABOUT ME

Art has changed my life.

I started my career path following in my parent’s footsteps and went to Medical School, not realizing motherhood would change my perspective. As a child I was always fascinated with drawing, coloring, and scrapbooking. I still remember my art classes and teachers from childhood that inspired me. Raising three children who are pursuing their goals has motivated me to pursue my love for art. Four years ago, I enrolled in my first class at North Lake College (NLC).

During my time at NLC, I have taken core Art classes hoping to build a strong foundation. A lot of my work focuses on nature, portraits and figure drawings. Though India ink and charcoal are my favorite mediums, I explore other mediums like watercolor and acrylic. My participation in Photography Club and We Express Ourselves Through Art (WEOTA) has provided me with many opportunities at NLC and allowed me to connect with my peers and professors. I have been featured in Art magazines and my work has been shown at many galleries and Art shows in Dallas. I love creating. I am keeping my options open as I am still in the early phases of my journey. I am thankful everyday for being a part of the Art community in Dallas and look forward to growing under the guidance of my peers.
